Registration for the 12th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon is open
Registration is now open for the 12th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon – one of the biggest and most prestigious running events in Poland. This year’s edition will take place on October 11, with 18,000 participants from Poland and abroad set to take the starting line. The title sponsor of the event is PKO Bank Polski, which has been supporting the development of running and physical activity in Poland for years.
Record attendance and sporting excitement
Last year’s edition of the Cracovia Royal Half Marathon confirmed the event’s popularity. A record number of runners crossed the finish line – 14,129 people from 70 countries. Kraków once again became an arena for athletic competition and, at the same time, a gathering place for running enthusiasts.
- Year after year, we see growing interest in our half marathon. This is a source of great satisfaction for us, but also a commitment to constantly improve the event’s organization. We want every participant – regardless of their result – to leave Kraków with unforgettable memories – emphasizes Tomasz Marzec, Director of the Sports Infrastructure Management Board of Kraków.
18,000 spots on the starting list
This year, the participant limit has been increased, allowing 18,000 runners to take their places at the starting line. The 12th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon is open to anyone who will be at least 18 years old by the day of the race.
The run is scheduled to start on October 11 at 10:00 a.m. As is tradition, the finish line will be located on the main board of TAURON Arena Kraków. Crossing the finish line to the cheers of fans in the dimmed scenery of the largest sports and entertainment hall in Poland is a unique experience that will remain in the memories of the runners for a long time.
The route, which will be prepared for fast running, will also be attractive from a tourist perspective. As every year, participants will run past Kraków’s most important landmark buildings, which are the city’s showcase. Runners will have 3 hours to complete the route.
Both experienced runners and amateurs aiming to complete the 21.097 km distance are invited to compete. During the 12th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon, an expanded “Fastest Polish Man” and “Fastest Polish Woman” classification will be held—in both categories, the top three finishers will receive awards.
Additionally, runners will be recognized in age group classifications, categories for people with disabilities, as well as special professional and community classifications, including those for teachers, actors, and students.
How to register?
Registration is available online via the REGISTRATION FORM and will remain open until October 6, 2026, or until the limit is reached. If spots are still available, registration will also be possible at the Competition Office immediately before the run.
The entry fee depends on the registration date and is as follows:
- PLN 180 – until June 30, 2026
- PLN 210 – from July 1 to August 31, 2026
- PLN 250 – from September 1 to October 6, 2026
- PLN 300 – at the Competition Office (if spots will be available).
Discounts are available, among others, for holders of the Kraków Card and the Kraków Family Card 3+, as well as for seniors and the so-called “Persistent Cracovia Royal Half Marathon Runners”, i.e. participants who have completed all previous editions of the run. Clients of PKO Bank Polski can also count on a discount.
The T-shirt as a carrier of memories
The starting packages do not include a T-shirt, and the organizer does not sell them directly. The ASICS technical T-shirt can only be purchased through the online system of the operator handling run registration – after completing registration and paying the entry fee.
An additional tab has been added to the system, allowing you to select a size and purchase a T-shirt. T-shirts ordered and paid for in advance can be picked up at the Technical Sponsor’s booth for the 12th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon – ASICS – located at the Competition Office. The price of the T-shirt is 80 PLN.
PKO Bank Polski is the title sponsor of the event
The event’s growth would not have been possible without the support of our partners. The title sponsor of the 12th edition of the Cracovia Royal Half Marathon is the banking sector leader, PKO Bank Polski, which has supported running events in Kraków in previous years.
