Regulations of the 12th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon
I. ORGANIZER
1. The Organizer of the 12th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon is the Municipality of Kraków - Sports Infrastructure Management Board of Kraków.

2. Contact with the Organizer is possible by phone, on working days from Monday to Friday at: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm or via e-mail at: zapisy@zis.krakow.pl.
II. DATE AND PLACE
1. The 12th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon (hereinafter referred to as the "Event", "Competition" or "Run") shall be held on October 11, 2026 (Sunday) in Kraków, Poland.
2. The Race will start at 10:00 a.m. The starting gate will remain open until the last participant has started the race and medical safety procedures have been activated (the passage of the sweep ambulance closing the field). After the starting gate is closed, it will not be possible to start the Race.
3. The finish line will be located on the main arena floor of TAURON Arena Kraków at 7 Stanisława Lema Street.
4 Competition Office:
a. will be in the TAURON Arena Kraków at 7 Stanisława Lema Street in Kraków.
b. open on days:
October 9, 2026 (Friday), from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
October 10, 2026 (Saturday), from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
October 11, 2026 (Sunday), from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m.
c. on the day of the Run, i.e. October 11, 2026, the Competition Office will issue starter packages, so there will be no possibility of signing up and paying the starting fee on that day.
5. The Organizer reserves the right to change the location and time of the start and finish of the Race, as well as the right to change the location of the Competition Office. The Organizer will inform Race participants of any such changes in advance on the website www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl. The changes referred to above may not constitute grounds for the initiation or submission of any claims against the Organizer, nor may they give rise to any additional obligations on the part of the Organizer.
III. ROUTE
1. The length of the route is 21.0975 km. The route of the Run will be certified.
2. The Run route must be completed within the regulatory time limit - up to 3 hours from crossing the starting line.
3. Participants line up in the starting zones (according to the time declared during registration) in the following order from the starting line:

4. The exact description of the Run route will be provided at www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl at a later date. The Organizer has the right to change the route of the Run, about which will inform the competitors by posting the new route of the Run on www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl. The change of the route of the Run may not constitute grounds for claims against the Organiser to arise and file claims against the Organizer or create additional obligations of the Organizer, which the competitors acknowledge and accept.
5. The Route of the Run will have all kilometers marked from 1 to 21.
6. Along the route will be located:
a. Nutrition points:
- located around the 4th and 13th kilometers of the Run route,
- tables will offer, among other items: water, isotonic drink, fruit, sweets,
- the Organizer does not accept participants’ personal nutrition items at refreshment stations.
b. Refreshment points:
- located around the 9th and 17th kilometers of the Run route,
- only water will be set on the tables,
- The Organizer does not accept competitors' private nutrients for refreshment points.
c. Toilet cabins:
- located along the Race course after each aid station and refreshment station.
d. Medical points
- located along the Run route at the nutrition points and at the start and finish of the Run.
IV. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
1. The Organizer sets the following limit: 18,000 competitors.
2. The list of participants will be closed once 18,000 participants have registered. The Organizer reserves the right to change the above-mentioned limit. The Organizer does not maintain a waiting list.
3. The participant limit, the organization of the Competition Office, the course and organization of the start, as well as the organization of the finish, may be subject to change in the event of changes to guidelines and regulations concerning the organization of events, including those resulting from an epidemiological situation requiring such changes, as well as if such changes become necessary due to factual or legal circumstances.
4. Participation in the Race is conditional upon registration and payment of the entry fee immediately after completing the registration. If the entry fee is not paid immediately after registration, the registration shall be considered invalid.
5. The Organizer reserves the right to organize the start in waves.
6. Participation in the Race is open to persons who will have reached the age of 18 no later than 11 October 2026. Under no circumstances are minors allowed to participate.
7. Time measurement and the determination of finishing order will be carried out using an electronic timing system. During verification, each participant will receive a chip integrated into the race number; proper attachment of the race number is a condition for starting the Event and being classified in the official results.
8. In order to be classified, a participant must complete the Race along the approved course and finish within the official time limit of 3 hours.
9. Participants who fail to reach the 10th kilometer of the Race course within 90 minutes from crossing the starting line are required to discontinue the Race and leave the course.
10.Participants remaining on the route after the time limit, do so at their own risk and responsibility, in accordance with traffic regulations and the Civil Code.
11. During the Run, the competitors should obey the instructions of the persons responsible for safety, security services and persons acting on behalf of the Organizer, who hold badges issued by the Organizer.
12. In case of the appearance of a privileged vehicle on the route of the Run, the competitors are obliged to stop the Run and allow passage.
13. Competitors covering the distance of the Run in an unauthorized manner will be disqualified.
14. The following are considered prohibited:
a. starting and running without a race number,
b. starting and running while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicating substances,
c. using any motor vehicles on the Race course, except for vehicles authorized by the Organizer,
d. starting and running with animals,
e. starting and running with baby strollers or with children carried in slings/carriers,
f. starting and running with Nordic walking poles,
g. covering any part of the course using means of transport, e.g. public transportation,
h. shortening or altering the course,
i. starting in wheelchairs for persons with disabilities,
j. starting and running without footwear,
k. moving along the Race course on bicycles, scooters, electric scooters, roller skates, or other vehicles,
l. starting and running with another person’s race number.
15. The Organizer does not provide competitors with accident insurance - personal accident insurance. Individual insurance in case of injury or any other unfortunate event that may happen to a competitor during the Run requires a separate policy purchased individually by the Runner.
16. Handing over one's starting number to another person will result in disqualification of both competitors. The result will not be credited to both the competitor whose details are on the start list and the competitor who physically covered the route.
17. Competitors are required to comply with the regulations in force on the day of the start, including:
a. generally applicable restrictions, orders, and prohibitions;
b. sanitary recommendations issued by sanitary authorities and the Organizer.
V. APPLICATIONS AND ENTRY FEE
1. Applications to participate in the 12th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon are accepted:
a. via the Race website until 6 October 2026 or until the participant limit is reached. Registration can be completed using the application form available on the Race website at www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl;
b. at the Competition Office on 9–10 October 2026, only if the participant limit has not been reached.
2. Registration is considered valid if the application form has been correctly completed and the entry fee has been paid. If the payment is not made immediately after registration, the registration shall be considered invalid.
3. By registering for the Race, the participant declares that they are aware of the risks that may arise in connection with participation, that their health condition allows them to take part in the Race, and that they participate at their own responsibility. The participant acknowledges that participation involves physical exertion and entails inherent risks of accidents, bodily injuries and physical harm (including death), as well as property damage and losses.
4. Participant verification, assignment of race numbers, and collection of race numbers and starter packs shall take place at the Competition Office.
5. Participant verification, including verification of entry fee payments and eligibility for discounts, as well as collection of the starter pack, is possible exclusively at the Competition Office.
6. The Organizer allows collection of the starter pack by an authorized representative, subject to the following rules:
a. in order to enable collection of the starter pack by an authorized person, the participant must provide the representative’s details in the registration form during registration;
b. the participant may enter or update the representative’s details in their profile in the registration system no later than 7 October 2026;
c. only persons who are at least 18 years of age on the day of starter pack collection may act as representatives.
d. when collecting the starter pack, the representative must present the QR code of the participant for whom the starter pack is being collected and their own photo ID;
e. if the participant for whom the starter pack is being collected is entitled to any discounts or fee exemptions, the representative must present the relevant documents when collecting the starter pack;
f. failure to provide the representative’s details in the participant’s registration form prevents collection of the starter pack, even if the representative presents the participant’s QR code.
7. The Organizer provides for group registrations. Details on group registration are available on the Organizer's website cracoviapolmaraton.pl.
8. The Organizer provides for the possibility to purchase a voucher - a gift for the competitor. Details on the purchase of a voucher are available on the Organizer’s website cracoviapolmaraton.pl.
8. Detailed instructions on how to collect the starter package and verification are available on the Organizer’s website cracoviapolmaraton.pl.
9. entry fee:
a. the amount of entry fee:
PLN 180.00 until 30.06.2026,
PLN 210.00 from 1.07.2026 to 31.08.2026,
PLN 240.00 from 01.09.2026 to 06.10.2026 or until the limit of starters is reached,
PLN 300.00 9-10.10.2026 at the Competition Office, in case the limit of starters is not reached.
b. PayU system allows you to pay the entry fee in EURO, by converting the entry fee according to the EURO exchange rate from the day of payment. Payment in EURO is not possible at the Competition Office.
c. payment of the entry fee is possible:
- online (direct redirection from the registration profile) through the PayU payment system - until 6.10.2026 or until the limit of starters is reached.
- at the Competition Office, in cash or by payment card, according to the rate applicable on the date of payment, provided that the participant limit has not been reached.
d. Failure to make payment at the time of registration results in the participant not being included on the start list.
e. Payments made in a manner other than that specified in the Regulations, i.e. by bank transfer to the Organizer’s bank account, shall not be recognized as valid and will be refunded to the account from which they were made.
f. The entry fee may not be transferred to a subsequent edition of the Race or to any other event.
g. the date of payment shall be the date of payment by PayU or the date of payment of the entry fee at the Competition Office.
h. The participant is required to verify whether the entry fee payment has been successfully completed, i.e. whether the fee amount has been debited from the account and has not been refunded by PayU. The Organizer shall not be held liable for failure of payment due to reasons attributable to the paying bank or PayU. The participant making the payment has transaction reference numbers and, as the payer, is able to clarify the reason for the failure to pay the entry fee.
i. The entry fee constitutes a fee for participation in the Race and is intended, inter alia, to cover organizational costs (e.g. course security, medical support, sanitary services, timekeeping, recovery package, security, medals).
11. Discounts:
a. a 50% discount for holders of the Kraków Large Family Card (Krakowska Karta Rodzinna) – the basis for granting the discount is presentation, at the Competition Office during verification, of a valid participant card of the Krakowska Karta Rodzinna 3+ program, i.e. a card issued to members of large families (at least 3 children) residing within the Municipality of the City of Kraków;
b. a 10% discount for holders of the Kraków Card (Karta Krakowska) – the basis for granting the discount is presentation, at the Competition Office during verification, of a valid participant card of the Karta Krakowska program, i.e. a card issued to persons registered as permanent residents of Kraków or settling personal income tax in the Municipality of the City of Kraków;
c. a 25% discount for participants over 60 years of age – the basis for granting the discount is verification of the date of birth in an identity document at the Competition Office;
d. a 50% discount for participants who have completed all previous editions of the Cracovia Royal Half Marathon, in accordance with the list available at: cracoviapolmaraton.pl/wytrwali-cracovia-polmaraton-krolewski;
e. a discount for holders of a personal account with PKO Bank Polski – the discount consists in setting a fixed entry fee of PLN 180.00, applicable throughout the entire registration period. The discounted entry fee is available exclusively to persons holding an active personal account with PKO Bank Polski, provided that the entry fee is paid directly from that account. The discount may be used only via the electronic registration form, after selecting the option “I pay from a PKO Bank Polski personal account” and making the payment via the “online transfer (pay by link)” system by choosing the “I pay with iPKO” or “I pay with Inteligo” option. The discounted entry fee may not be paid by a third party nor by a single transfer covering more than one participant. The discount does not apply if payment is made using BLIK or any form of payment other than those indicated above. Payments made in violation of these rules shall be deemed made without applying the discount and shall not constitute grounds for claiming the discount or a refund of the difference in the entry fee. The Organizer shall not be held liable for an incorrect selection of the payment method by the participant.
On 9–10 October 2026, at the Race Office, if the participation limit has not been reached during online registration, it will be possible to pay the entry fee at the discounted rate for holders of a personal account with PKO Bank Polski, exclusively by means of a PKO Bank Polski payment card.
f. a discount for participants in promotional campaigns organized by the Organizer – the Organizer reserves the right to grant discounts on the entry fee of up to 30%, as prizes in promotional campaigns organized by the Organizer or cooperating entities. Detailed conditions for granting discounts, their amount, validity period, and method of use are specified in the rules of the individual promotional campaigns. Participation in a promotional campaign does not automatically entitle a participant to a discount unless otherwise stated in the campaign rules. Discounts are not redeemable for cash, may not be combined with other promotions or discounts, and may not be transferred to third parties;
g. a 10% discount for group registrations for groups of at least 10 people – the basis for granting the discount is payment of entry fees in advance under the group registration procedure described in the Group Registration Instructions referred to in section V.7 of these Regulations;
h. an individual discount, as described in section V.11 points a–f, does not apply to team registrations or the purchase of vouchers.
i. The individual discount described in section V.11 points a–f may be used exclusively by natural persons for personal purposes.
j. Discounts may not be combined.
k. If, during participant verification, the required documents entitling the participant to a discount are not presented, the participant is required, in order to take part in the Race, to pay at the Competition Office the difference up to the entry fee specified in section V.10 point a of these Regulations applicable at the Competition Office, i.e. the difference up to the amount of PLN 300.00.
l. If a participant loses eligibility for a discount between the date of payment of the entry fee and the end date of online registration, the participant is entitled to inform the Organizer of their intention to pay the difference between the paid entry fee and the entry fee referred to in section V.10 point a of these Regulations, applicable on the date the additional payment is made. Such additional payment may be made no later than the end date of online registration.
12. The following persons are exempt from the entry fee:
a. persons with disabilities;
b. persons invited by the Organizer;
c. guides of participants with visual impairments, based on a code received from the Organizer;
d. volunteers assisting in the organization of the 12th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon for at least 8 hours.
e. Participants referred to in section V.12 points a–c shall register via the registration form by selecting the appropriate option for exemption from the entry fee. Participants referred to in section V.12 point c shall additionally enter the code provided by the Organizer in the form. Participants referred to in section V.12 point d (volunteers) shall register exclusively at the Competition Office.
13. Registration of persons with disabilities:
a. in the 12th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon, all persons with disabilities are exempt from the entry fee, regardless of the degree or type of disability;
b. during verification at the Competition Office, participants with disabilities are required to present documents confirming their entitlement to the entry fee exemption;
c. if the required documents entitling the participant to the entry fee exemption are not presented, to take part in the Race the participant or their representative is required to pay the entry fee applicable at the Competition Office, in accordance with section V.10 point a of these Regulations, i.e. PLN 300.00.
14. Guides of blind or visually impaired participants may register only if the blind or visually impaired participant with whom they will compete provides them with a code received by email from the Organizer. At the Competition Office, the guide of a blind or visually impaired participant is required to appear at the same time as the participant they are accompanying and to submit a declaration confirming that they are acting as the participant’s guide. Otherwise, the entry fee exemption will not be recognized and, in order to take part in the Race, the guide will be required to pay the entry fee applicable at the Competition Office, in accordance with section V.10 point a of these Regulations, i.e. PLN 300.00.
15. Once paid, the entry fee is non-refundable.
16. Pursuant to Article 38(1)(12) of the Act of 30 May 2014 on Consumer Rights (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1796), participants are not entitled to withdraw from a contract for the provision of services related to entertainment, sporting, or cultural events if the contract specifies a particular date or period for the provision of the service.
17. The Organizer allows the transfer of the entry fee to another participant, in accordance with the procedure set out in points c–d below, subject to the other conditions specified herein:
a. the entry fee may be transferred by way of assignment no later than 9 October 2026;
b. the administrative fee for transferring the entry fee amounts to PLN 30.00 and is non-refundable. This fee must be paid no later than 9 October 2026;
c. a participant wishing to transfer the entry fee to another participant shall do so via their profile in the registration system operated by the entity referred to in section XI.9, by selecting the option “Make a transfer”, after which they will be redirected to the payment system to pay the fee referred to in section V.17(d). Subsequently, an individual link will be sent to the participant’s e‑mail address (as indicated in the participant’s registration system profile), which should then be forwarded to the new participant;
d. the new participant shall register individually in the registration system using the link provided by the withdrawing participant;
e. the Organizer shall not be held liable for any errors made by participants transferring entry fees to another participant;
f. the Organizer does not act as an intermediary in any settlements between participants related to the transfer of the entry fee;
g. if the entry fee has been documented with a VAT invoice or the registration was made using a voucher code or as part of a group registration, transfer of the entry fee to another participant is not possible;
h. if the entry fee was subject to a discount described in section V.11, transfer of the entry fee to another participant is not possible.
18. At the time of registering to participate in the 12th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon via the Race website, i.e. until 6 October 2026, participants may purchase, together with the entry fee, a medal engraving service (engraving of the participant’s first name, last name, and result on the medal).
19. Purchase of the service referred to in section V.18 shall be carried out by:
a. selecting the option to purchase the medal engraving service in the registration form;
b. paying a fee of PLN 25.00 for the service, which shall be added to the entry fee paid in accordance with the Race Regulations.
20. The medal engraving service purchased through registration on the Race website shall be performed on the day of the Event at a designated booth, upon presentation of the participant’s race number.
21. The Organizer informs that the medal engraving service in the amount of PLN 25.00 will also be available for purchase on the day of the Race, directly from the engraving service provider.
22. In the event of transferring the entry fee to another participant where the entry fee was purchased together with the medal engraving service, both the entry fee and the purchased engraving service shall be transferred.
23. Issuance of an invoice is possible only if the request for an invoice is selected in the registration form and correct invoice details are provided therein. In the case of entrepreneurs and other entities entitled to receive an invoice, this includes the full legal name, registered office address, and VAT identification number (NIP); in the case of a natural person, this includes the first name, last name, and full address. An invoice issued to a natural person will be sent to the participant’s e‑mail address provided during registration. An invoice issued to entrepreneurs and other entities entitled to receive an invoice (e.g. an association, club, or company) will be sent in accordance with the legal regulations in force on the date of issuance.
24. It is not possible to issue an invoice with an entrepreneur’s details if the paid entry fee was subject to a discount described in section V.11. Individual discounts may be used exclusively by natural persons for personal purposes and not in connection with economic or business activity.
VI. CLASSIFICATION
1. The following classifications will be conducted in the 12th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon:
a. General Women's and Men's
b. in Women's and Men's age categories:
K 18-29 M 18-29
K 30-39 M 30-39
K 40-49 M 40-49
K 50-59 M 50-59
K 60-69 M-60-69
K 70-79 M 70-79
K 80 and older M80 and older
c. Polish women and men – a classification for citizens of the Republic of Poland; eligibility verified on the basis of a Polish national ID card or a Polish passport.
d. Oldest Participant or Oldest Participant - the oldest person, according to the year of birth given in the application form, who completed the Run; verification based on an ID card or other document with the date of birth.
e. General of athletes with visual impairment in the category of Women and Men:
- Category B1 - 100% blind people with a guide,
- Category B2 - visually impaired and visually impaired persons using the assistance of another person (guide) or competing alone,
f. General competitors with hearing impair in the category of Women and Men:
- People with hearing loss of more than 55dB,
- hard of hearing persons.
2. General and age classification will be held based on actual times (net - counted from crossing the starting line). The exception is the first 100 people crossing the finish line, which are classified based on official gross times - counted from the starter's shot. If at least 10 men or 10 women do not appear among the first 100 people at the finish line, the number of people classified based on gross times is increased accordingly to include them.
3. The Organizer reserves the right to establish additional classifications.
4. During the 12th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon, the following events/classifications will take place:
a. The 10th Polish Physiotherapists’ Half Marathon Championships – the regulations are available at this link;
b. The 21st Polish Teachers’ Half Marathon Championships – the regulations are available at this link;
c. The Academic Classification for the AZS Kraków President’s Cup in the Half Marathon – the regulations are available at this link.
VII. AWARDS
1. Prizes in the overall classification for Women and Men:
-1st place - PLN 13,000, in case of achieving a time under 01:01:34 for men/ 01:10:48 for women;
or PLN 12,000, in case of achieving a time below 01:02:45 for men/01:11:33 for women;
or PLN11,000, in case of achieving a time below 01:03:45 for men/01:12:04 for women;
or PLN 10,000, in case of achieving a time equal to or above 01:03:45 for men/01:12:04 for women.
-2nd place - PLN 8,000,
-3rd place - PLN 6,000,
2. In the categories for visually impaired and hearing impaired in the overall classification of Women and Men, prizes of value will be awarded:
1st place - PLN 2,000,
2nd place - PLN 1,500,
3rd place - PLN 1,000,
3. Prizes in the Polish Women’s and Men’s category for places I–III shall be awarded as follows:
1st place – PLN 4,000,
2nd place – PLN 3,000,
3rd place – PLN 2,000.
3. In age categories for men and women for 1st- 3rd place cups will be given;
4. In the age categories for Women and Men, statuettes shall be awarded for places I–III.
5. In the Oldest Male Participant and Oldest Female Participant classifications – PLN 1,000.
6. The condition for receiving the prize is the completion of the Run and, in addition, in the case of doping control - its negative result.
7. Participants who receive prizes in the overall classification shall not receive prizes in the age‑group classification. The Polish Women’s and Men’s classification is conducted independently of the overall classification.
8. Cash prizes will be paid to the account provided by the competitor, up to 30 days after the Organizer receives the results of the doping control (if any) and all data necessary for the bank transfer. Monetary prizes obtained in other classifications referred to in Section VI.3 will be paid to the account provided by the competitor in the statement indicating the exact data for the transfer or, in the case of a prize in kind, transferred in the manner indicated by the Organizer.
9. In the case of cash prizes, remittance details must be provided no later than 30 days after the official results are announced, to the following email address: zapisy@zis.krakow.pl. After this deadline, the prize will be forfeited to the Organizer.
10. In the case of cups, the prize can be collected at the point designated by the Organizer in the finish area of the Run or at the Organizer's office after prior contact with the Organizer, no later than 30 days from the day of the Event. After this deadline, the prize will be forfeited by the Organizer.
11. If the value of the prize exceeds the amount exempt from taxation under the provisions of the Personal Income Tax Act, income tax will be withheld from the value of the prize in accordance with applicable regulations.
12. The official results will be announced up to 14 days after the end of the Event or after the results of the doping control, i.e. up to 20 working days after the end of the Event, if any.
13. Payment of the prize may be withheld if, within 30 days before winning in the 11th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon, information about positive doping control in another race (sporting event) is disclosed. In the event of a ruling that a competitor is disqualified, the award goes to the competitor classified with the next best result in the category.
VIII. ORGANIZER'S BENEFITS
1. Each competitor who completes the Run within the statutory time will receive a commemorative medal.
2. Changing rooms and showers:
a. will be in TAURON Arena Kraków. They will be open on October 11, 2026, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
3. Deposit:
a. the location of the deposit will be announced later. It will be open on 11 October 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
b. The Organizer does not provide bags for the deposit; therefore, only participants’ personal belongings packed in their own bags will be accepted. The bags must have a sticker with the participant’s race number, received in the starter pack, clearly affixed in a visible place.
c. The following items will not be accepted for deposit:
– items whose possession is prohibited by law,
– explosive materials,
– animals,
– items that may pose a threat to the safety of Event participants, as well as alcohol and intoxicating substances,
– valuable items such as laptops, professional photographic equipment, cameras, and personal documents,
– items exceeding acceptable limits, such as baby strollers or travel luggage.
d. acceptance of an item into the deposit is conditional upon a preliminary assessment by a staff member as to whether the item may be stored in the deposit. In the case of backpacks and bags, the deposit staff member also has the right to check their contents and perform a preliminary assessment as to whether the item may be accepted for storage.
e. personal belongings packed in the participants’ own bags will be returned from the deposit upon presentation of the race number.
f. loss of the race number by a participant releases the Organizer from liability for the bag being collected by another person.
g. leaving valuable items and personal documents in the deposit is prohibited.
h. The Organizer shall not be responsible for participants’ belongings left outside the designated deposit area or items remaining in the deposit after the designated deposit opening hours.
i. items left in the depository should be collected on October 11,2026, by 2:00 p.m. After the hours of operation of the depository, in order to pick up the left items, please contact the Organizer (tel. 12 616 63 00 02 or e-mail: zapisy@zis.krakow.pl).
4. Starter package:
a. each competitor will receive a starter package, which includes information/advertising materials;
b. each successfully verified competitor will receive a starting number (with chip) and safety pins, sticker for deposit items.
c. starter packages not collected at the Competition Office will not be shipped or issued later.
5. T‑shirt:
a. Starter packs do not include a T‑shirt.
b. The Organizer does not act as an intermediary in the purchase of T‑shirts.
c. ASICS technical T‑shirts may be purchased exclusively through the electronic system of the operator handling race registrations, after completion of the registration process and payment of the entry fee. The system operator has activated an additional tab through which participants may select a T‑shirt size and make a purchase. The start and end dates of T‑shirt sales are determined by the system operator. Previously purchased T‑shirts may be collected at a dedicated stand of the Technical Sponsor of the 23rd Cracovia Marathon – ASICS, located at the Competition Office.
6. Starting numbers:
a. during the Run the competitors must have starting numbers provided by the Organizer, pinned horizontally on the front to the starting shirt (or blouse, jacket). The starting number must always be visible during the Run, covering the number (in whole or in part, during any part of the Run) or its modification is prohibited under penalty of disqualification.
b. Starting numbers are assigned at the Competition Office. It is not possible to reserve a selected number in advance.
c. the starting number is a document assigned to a specific participant. In the event of loss of the race number (misplacement), the participant to whom the race number was assigned shall be responsible if another person starts the Race using that number, and such a situation shall be treated as equivalent to the case described in section IV.13 of the Regulations.
d. The Organizer shall not issue duplicate starting numbers under any circumstances.
e. The participant is required to check whether the starting number received by them matches the number shown on the deposit sticker.
7. Recovery package:
a. After completing the Race, beyond the finish line, participants will receive a recovery package including, among other items, fruit and beverages.
b. After leaving the finish area of the Race (in the recovery zone), participants will be provided with a complimentary hot recovery meal. A portion of the recovery meal will be issued upon presentation of the participant’s race number to the staff distributing the meals.
8. The Organizer does not provide accommodation for participants.
9. Public transport:
a. On the day of the Race, the Organizer provides participants with the opportunity to use free public transport within the City of Kraków, provided that the participant declares such a need in advance by selecting the appropriate option in the Race registration form. Requests for free public transport will be accepted only at the time of registration via the registration form. After this deadline, it will not be possible to use this option.
b. A participant acquires the right to use free public transport within the City of Kraków on the day of the Race upon receiving from the Organizer a race number marked with a hologram issued by the organizational unit of the Municipality of the City of Kraków responsible for public transport.
c. The service covers travel by trams and buses operating within the administrative boundaries of the City of Kraków.
d. during travel, the participant is required to carry the race number with the hologram and present it upon ticket inspection.
e. The Organizer shall not be liable for improper use of public transport by a participant.
IX. FINANCING
The costs of organizing the 12th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon are covered by the funds of the Municipality of Kraków and from the Sponsors and Partners of the Event.
X. FINAL PROVISIONS
1. the Organizer reserves the right to conduct an anti-doping control during the 12th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon, and acceptance of these Regulations constitutes the Runner's consent to conduct an anti-doping control.
2. The Organizer reserves the right to amend these Regulations in the event of an epidemiological situation that may cause exceptional circumstances requiring special measures and solutions resulting from the provisions of the law and guidelines of the relevant authorities and bodies, particularly those indicated on www.gov.pl.
3. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or change the date of the Event, as well as to amend the Regulations in case of:
a. the occurrence of force majeure events that may affect the course of the Event,
b. the epidemiological situation on the territory of the Republic of Poland, which could endanger the life and health of the competitors, as well as those participating in the organization of the Run,
c. introduction of universally applicable restrictions (in particular, on the limits of competitors) that would make it impossible or significantly difficult to conduct the Run.
4. Force majeure within the meaning of these Regulations shall be any unforeseeable situation or event of an exceptional nature, beyond the control of the Organizer, preventing the fulfillment of any of the obligations provided for in these Regulations, not resulting from the Organizer's error or negligence, and remaining insurmountable despite the exercise of all due diligence, in particular: natural catastrophe events of the type of flood, hurricane, windstorms of extraordinary force, tornadoes, earthquakes, unusually intense and prolonged downpours, or extraordinary and external events that could not have been prevented (such as: war, events related to a war that is taking place beyond the eastern border of the Republic of Poland, martial law restrictions, insurrection, revolution, riots, terrorist attack), epidemic threats, epidemic emergencies, epidemics and states of epidemics, as well as new legal acts or decisions of administrative authorities preventing the Organizer from fulfilling its obligations. Neither the Organizer nor the contestants shall be liable for non-performance or improper performance of the provisions of these regulations caused by force majeure.
5. The Organizer reserves the right to change non-material provisions of these Regulations.
6. If it is necessary to make significant changes, the Organizer will notify the competitors of the change in the Rules and Regulations via e-mail. The competitor who does not accept the introduced material changes to the Rules and Regulations should notify the Organizer within 14 days from receipt of information about the change to the Rules and Regulations. Sending such a notice will result in the removal of the participant from the Run - in such a situation the entry fee paid will be returned.
7. Written protests concerning the course of the 11th PKO Cracovia Royal Half Marathon and its results shall be accepted by the Main Referee of the Event until 1:30p.m., on the day of the Run. Protests received after this deadline will not be considered.
8. Complaints regarding participation and organization of the Run may be submitted in writing to the Organizer's address or by e-mail to zapisy@zis.krakow.pl no later than 7 days after the end of the Event. Complaints will be considered by the Organizer 30 days from the date the complaint is received by the Organizer or at zapisy@zis.krakow.pl.
9. The Organizer’s supervisory authority is the Mayor of Kraków.
10. The Organizer reserves the right to change the date and route of the Run.
11. Submission of an application to participate in the Race, made by sending the registration in accordance with section V of the Regulations or by submitting it at the Competition Office, shall be deemed equivalent to acceptance of these Regulations and the rules of participation in the Race, including provisions regarding entry fees and the rules governing the transfer of the entry fee.
12. The Organizer reserves the right to discontinue the Run in case of circumstances requiring such action on the part of the Organizer.
13. The Organizer stipulates that the Event is of a public nature; therefore, the Participant’s image may be used in media coverage, both online on the Internet and/or social media, as well as offline in radio, television, and the press. The Participant may be the subject of photographic and video coverage.
14. In connection with participation in the Event, the Participant grants the Organizer permission to record and disseminate the Participant’s image pursuant to Article 81(1) of the Act of 4 February 1994 on Copyright and Related Rights, subject to Article 81(2) of the said Act. The Participant consents to the free‑of‑charge dissemination of their image, without any time limitation, as recorded in connection with participation in the Event, in the form of photographs, video recordings, and reports, for the statutory purposes of the Organizer, in particular for documenting the course of the Event, promoting the Event, and promoting other events of a similar nature.
Photographs, video recordings, interviews, and coverage of the Event featuring the Participant’s image may be used by the Organizer free of charge exclusively for documentary, editorial, and promotional purposes on websites operated by the Organizer (cracoviamaraton.pl, biegnocny.pl, biegtrzechkopcow.pl, cracoviapolmaraton.pl, zis.krakow.pl), on social media platforms operated by the Organizer (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube), as well as in press information materials of the City of Kraków and partner portals, i.e. maratonypolskie.pl, bieganie.pl, psb‑biegi.com.pl, maratończyk.pl, and in the Organizer’s newsletter, online and offline, including social media, press, magazines, newsletters, posters, posts, event reports, press releases, etc. On the basis of this consent, the Participant may be filmed, photographed, and/or interviewed by the Organizer or by entities engaged for that purpose.
15. In connection with participation in the Event, the Participant also grants sponsors and partners of the Race permission to record and disseminate the Participant’s image pursuant to Article 81(1) of the Act of 4 February 1994 on Copyright and Related Rights, subject to Article 81(2) of the said Act. The consent covers free‑of‑charge and time‑unlimited dissemination of the Participant’s image recorded in connection with participation in the Race, in the form of photographs, video recordings, and reports, for the purposes of documenting the Event, promoting the Event, and enabling partners and sponsors to inform about their participation in the Event, in particular with regard to reporting on the Race and cooperation with the Organizer.
Photographs, video recordings, interviews, and reports from the Event may be used by partners and sponsors on their websites, on social media platforms operated by Event partners and sponsors (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube), as well as in press materials, partner and sponsor newsletters, online and offline, including social media, press, magazines, newsletters, posters, posts, event reports, press releases, etc. On the basis of this consent, the Participant may be filmed, photographed, and/or interviewed by partners or sponsors or by entities engaged by them for that purpose.
16. For the purpose of using the Participant’s image for promotional and marketing purposes other than those indicated in sections 14–15 above, for the benefit of the Organizer, sponsors, and partners of the Event, the interested entity shall obtain a separate consent from the Participant for the dissemination of their image.
17. In the event that the Participant raises an objection to the dissemination of their image, the provisions of section XI.4(b) of the Regulations shall apply.
18. In matters not covered by these Regulations, the applicable laws, including the provisions of the Civil Code, as well as the Act of April 21, 2017 on combating doping in sports and the World Anti-Doping Code shall apply.
19. The Regulations are available for review at the Organizer's office and on the website www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl.
XI. PERSONAL DATA - Information obligation
1. The Organizer is the Data Administrator for the implementation of the event, verification of enrollment, timing, payment processing, image processing, conducting surveys, results statements, promotion, satisfaction survey and archiving of documentation related to the sports event.
2. The Organizer has appointed a Data Protection Supervisor, who can be contacted at: 10 Walerego Sławka Street, 30-633 Kraków, or e-mail address: iodo@zis.krakow.pl.
3. Participants' data shall be processed in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 (named: RODO) and these Regulations and shall be provided on the completed form directly from the data subject on the basis of:
a. Pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) of the RODO – in connection with the conclusion of an agreement with the Municipality of the City of Kraków – the Sports Infrastructure Board in Kraków – by accepting these Regulations, the following personal data shall be processed: first name, last name, address (street, house/apartment number, postal code, city, country), telephone number, e‑mail address, date of birth, T‑shirt size, citizenship, gender, ICE (In Case of Emergency) telephone number, and team name, for the purpose of participant registration.
b. Article 6(1)(c) of the RODO in connection with the fulfillment of a legal obligation related to the verification and settlement of payments including the issuance of an invoice, resulting from the provisions of the Law of March 11, 2004 on tax on goods and services, where additionally the participant provides full name, registered address and Tax Identification
Number; in the case of a natural person: name, surname, full address;
c. Article 9(2)(b) RODO where processing is necessary for the fulfillment of the Administrator's duties and the exercise of specific rights; data on the competitor's disability will be processed, only for the Organizer's verification;
d. Article 9(2)(a) RODO (consent to the processing of personal data - special category data) - to exclude health contraindications to participation in the Event.
e. Article 6(1)(f) of the DPA for the purpose of possibly asserting rights or defending against claims related to the execution of the Event.
f. Article 6(1)(b) of RODO for the purpose of sending the ZIS Running Events Newsletter, conducted within the framework of promoting and shaping a positive model of leisure activities, promoting a healthy lifestyle conducive to the harmonious development of children and young people and increasing physical fitness - developing a love of sports and recreation resulting from the Organizer's Articles of Association. The legal basis is the Act of July 18, 2002 on the provision of electronic services and acceptance of the Newsletter Regulations published on https://zis.krakow.pl/informacje-prawne#regulaminy;
g. Article 6(1)(f) of the RODO in order to conduct marketing activities, including conducting a satisfaction survey to improve the quality of organized sports events in connection with the legitimate interest pursued by the Organizer. The legal basis is the Act of July 18, 2002 on the provision of services by electronic means.
h. Article 6(1)(f) of the RODO on the basis of the legitimate interest pursued by the Organizer in connection with the granted permission for the possibility of using the image captured in photographs and photo-video recordings for marketing activities related to the promotion and shaping of a positive model of leisure, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, including media coverage, both online on the Internet and/or social media run by the Organizer, and offline on radio, television and in the press;
i. Article 6(1)(f) of the RODO on the basis of the legitimate interest pursued by the Organizer related to the processing of data of persons authorized to collect the starter package in the form of the name of the proxy, e-mail address and telephone number.
j. Article 6(1)(f) of the RODO on the basis of the legitimate interest pursued by the Organizer related to the processing of data of persons entitled to receive the cash prize in the form of first and last name, e-mail address and account number with the name of the bank.
k. Article 6(1)(f) RODO on the basis of the legitimate interest pursued by the Organizer related to the processing of data of persons who complete all editions of the Run so far, as Persistent competitors, whose data in the form of name and date of birth will be published on the official website of ZIS on the Persistent List.
l. Pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, in connection with the willingness to participate in the project “Królewska Triada Biegowa” (Royal Running Triad), participants’ personal data necessary for the implementation of the project shall be processed, including: first and last name, city of residence, date of birth, and result.
4. The personal data you provide will be retained for the period necessary to fulfill the purpose specified in paragraph (3); thereafter, it will be retained for a period:
a. for financial data up to 6 years.
b. data collected for promotional and marketing purposes in the form of photographs and photovideo recordings will be processed until the Participant raises an objection. If such objection is made, the Organizer will delete them without undue delay, but no later than within 3 working days from the date of acceptance of such application. The condition is to send an email containing the notification, together with the designation of the materials to which the removal relates, to zapisy@zis.krakow.pl from the email address compatible with the profile in the Run application system, or in writing, to the following address: Zarząd Infrastruktury Sportowej w Krakowie, 10 Walerego Sławka St., 30-633 Kraków;
c. in the case of data collected for the purpose of archiving sporting events and actions in connection with the Act of July 14, 1983 on the national archival resource and archives and the Ordinance of the Prime Minister of January 18, 2011 on the Clerical Instruction, Uniform Material File Lists and the Instruction on the Organization and Scope of Operation of Company Archives. If an archival category "A" is assigned, the data will be retained indefinitely.
5. You have the right to request from ADO:
a. access to your personal information;
b. data sharing;
c. correction of the data;
d. deletion of the data;
e. limit the processing of one’s personal data.
f. to lodge an objection with the Organizer to the processing of their personal data, including image data. An objection concerning the processing of image data by data recipients should be submitted to the Organizer, who will forward it to the relevant partners or sponsors. Upon receiving information about such an objection, a partner or sponsor is obliged to immediately remove the material or image of the Participant to which the objection relates.
6. You have the right to lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority, which is the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection with its seat at 2 Stawki Street, 00-193 Warsaw, if in your opinion the processing of your personal data is carried out in an unlawful manner.
7. The provision of your personal data by you is voluntary, but necessary for the purpose specified in paragraph 3. Failure to provide personal data necessary for the purposes specified in paragraph 3 a-f will result in the inability to conclude the contract in question with you, i.e. to take part in the Event.
8. The recipients of the personal data provided by you will be entities to which ADO has entrusted the processing of personal data on the basis of separate processing entrustment agreements - e.g. in connection with the implementation of hosting, e-mail, promotion, publication or document archiving services; your data may be made available to other public administration bodies, inspection bodies, justice bodies and courts, upon their legitimate request (in accordance with applicable regulations).
9. The recipient and separate Administrator of the data in the scope of keeping records of the participants on the basis of the consent given is Datasport Marek Zieliński, 22 Okrężna St., 58310 Szczawno Zdrój, NIP: 886-002-17-67, cooperating with the Organizer on the basis of the cooperation agreement in this scope. The Enrollment Regulations and Privacy Policy are available on the Enrollment Portal.
10. The recipient and separate Administrator of the data in the scope of the image of the participants, for whom individual photo-video materials may be made during the Run, will be the entity providing paid services concerning the fixation of the image, which may cooperate with the Organizer only on the basis of a separate agreement. The privacy policy and rules and regulations for providing photo-video materials will also be made available on the website of the selected entity.
11. The recipients of personal data relating to participants’ images shall also include the Event’s Partners and Sponsors.
