Vitaliy Shafar and Monika Jackiewicz triumphed in the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon
Ukrainian Vitaliy Shafar and the current Polish champion in the half marathon Monika Jackiewicz triumphed on Sunday, October 17, 2021 in the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon. They reached the finish line, located in the TAURON Arena Kraków, with the times - 01:03:49 and 01:13:40. Representatives of 28 countries participated in the struggle with the distance of 21 km and 97.5 m.
Tomasz Grycko from Władysławowo (time 01:04:34) finished second among men, thus improving his best achievement so far in the Cracovia Royal Half Marathon - third in 2018. The current Polish half marathon champion Damian Kabat (time 01:05:20) was on the lowest step of the podium.
The second place in the women's competition was won by the vice-champion of the country, Paulina Kaczyńska (time 01:13:59), and the Olympic athlete from Rio de Janieiro Iwona Bernardelli (time 01:14:24) was third on the finish line.
Rewards and checks for 10, 8 and 6 thousands PLN was given to them by: the Mayor of the City of Kraków Jacek Majchrowski, who earlier gave the signal to start of the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon from Lema Street, Director of the Sports Infrastructure Management Board of Kraków and also the Race Director Krzysztof Kowal and the President of the Management Board of Arena Kraków S.A. Małgorzata Marcińska and Vice President of the Management Board of Arena Kraków S.A. Jacek Gryzło.
The first Cracovian at the finish line was Tomasz Kobos, a research fellow at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University, who took an excellent, eighth place. The best representative of the capital of Małopolska was the ninth among the ladies, Anna Luty-Legutko from the Adam Czerwiński Team.

4168 out of 4189 participants of the Sunday half marathon who stood at the starting line had great satisfaction in reaching the finish line in TAURON Arena Kraków. 4418 runners received their starting packages.
The 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon was held under the slogan #InTheLongRun, which was on the T-shirts. With this message, we wanted to emphasize the relationship between us - the organizers and the runners. We are together for good and bad, in the long run - still together. We have a longer and strong relationships with our runners that allows us to be together and support each other.
