Train with us for the 11th PZU Three Mounds Run and the 4th PZU Cracovia Royal Half Marathon!

We would like to invite you to our official training sessions aimed at runners who would like to train for the two October races, which are a part of the 2017 Royal Triad Race – the 11th PZU Three Mounds Run and the 4th PZU Cracovia Royal Half Marathon. The training sessions will be conducted by a team of experienced coaches of AZS AWF Kraków Masters. We are starting next Sunday, September 10 at 10:00 a.m. at the Polish Airmen Park.

PZU Three Mounds Run is a special race – it is a mountain run organised in the centre of a large city, with outstanding views and historic places associated by most people with our national identity... Who needs more?

Over the years, PZU Three Mounds Run grew to become an important sport event and turned into a race worth winning. On the other hand, a special course with the starting line located near the Krakus Mound, segments on asphalt and cobblestone-covered streets of Podgórze, open and windy segments along the Vistula, a long climb on the Waszyngtona Avenue to the Kościuszko Mound, a breakneck run down from the Sikornik, a steep uphill run on the uneven forest paths near the Zoological Garden in the Wolski Forest and the finish line located at the foot of the Piłsudski Mound requires some special running skills and preparations.

You have to be prepared if you want to complete the 11th PZU Three Mounds Run.. Thankfully, these skills are something you can learn and train.

We offer you a series of training sessions, where you will be able to learn the skills required for successfully completing this special 13-kilometre course. We are going to train at the Polish Airmen Park near the TAURON Arena Kraków and try our legs at running down and climbing, as well as training in places similar to the official race course.

The team of experienced coaches and runners of the AZS AWF Kraków Masters club will make sure to prepare you for the race in a practical and interesting way. Tactics, running technique, general running preparation and unique training sessions will get you prepared for this effort.

Those who participated in our training sessions for the 16th PZU Cracovia Marathon already know the atmosphere and the great value of our sessions.

Join us! You will see that you can run “the Mounds” fast.

The training sessions for the 11th PZU Three Mounds Run (10.09, 17.09, 24.09) and the race on October 1 are a great training for our flagship race – the most important autumn running event in Krakow: the 4th PZU Cracovia Royal Half Marathon. We are expecting a record number of runners this year, around 10000 people trying to get to the finish line.

During the training sessions, we will also test drinks and energy gels served along the course of the half marathon, check out the starting zone (near the TAURON Arena Kraków) and run along the course of  5 for Kościuszko. You should also get ready for surprises!

Participation in the training sessions is free. The Organiser will provide beverages and hot tea, as well as energy gels that will be tested during the last training sessions before the 4th PZU Cracovia Royal Half Marathon.
