Running to the European Games: at 5 km the fastest were Bogdan Semenovych and Svetlana Sanko

Together with the half marathon runners, in front of the TAURON Arena Kraków, the participants of the 5 km competition under the slogan "Running to the European Games" started. The fastest were Ukrainian Bogdan Semenovych and Belarusian Svetlana Sanko.

The winner of this year's Night Run 10 km and 15th Piotr Gładki Mini Cracovia Marathon finished on the main board in the largest sports and entertainment hall in Poland after 14 minutes and 38 seconds, ahead of the winner of the previous edition of the 5 km run accompanying Cracovia Royal Half Marathon - the Olympic Five - Adam Czerwiński (time 14:49). The third was another Ukrainian - Serhii Shevchenko (time 14:56). 14th place took three-time Olympian, medalist of the world and European championships in sport walking Grzegorz Sudoł.

The winner of the competition among women covered 5 km in 16 minutes and 14 seconds, and the podium was completed by the winner's wife Natalia Semenovych (time 16:23; also the best in this year's Night Run 10 km, and second in the 15th Piotr Gładki Mini Cracovia Marathon) and Polish woman Natalia Bielak (time 16:26).

The President of the Management Board of the company responsible for the organization of this event took part in the race announcing the biggest next year's sports event in Poland - the European Games Kraków-Małopolska 2023 - former excellent sprinter Marcin Nowak, who together with the Director of the Sports Infrastructure Management Board of Kraków and the 8th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon Krzysztof Kowal and Rafał Kosowski, the councilor of the Małopolska Sejmik, handed out medals and awards to the best runners.

There were 505 participants at the start of the Running to the European Games, and 498 of them entered the finish line. Detailed results can be found HERE.
