Preamble

Due to the epidemiological situation in the country, which causes exceptional circumstances requiring the introduction of special measures and solutions, individual provisions of these regulations are/will depend on the currently applicable legal provisions and guidelines indicated on the website www.gov.pl. 

I. ORGANIZER

The 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon is organized by the Municipality of Krakow – Sports Infrastructure Management Board of Krakow.

II. DATE AND PLACE

1. 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon will be held on 17 October 2017 (Sunday) in Krakow.

2. Detailed information on the location, time and organization of the start will be provided on the website www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl at a later date.

3. Detailed information on the location, dates and hours of the Competition Office will be available at www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl at a later date.

III. ROUTE

1. The course of the half-marathon is 21,097.5 m long. The route will be certified by PZLA, World Athletics (formerly IAAF) and AIMS.

2. Participants are required to finish the route within 3 hours.

3. A detailed description of the route and the location of the finish line will be published on the website www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl at a later date.

4. Details on the course of the start will be announced on the website www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl at a later date.

5. Each kilometre along the route will be marked from 1 to 21.

6. The route will include:

a. Nutritional points:

  • They will be located in the vicinity of 5 and 13 kilometers
  • On the tables will be placed products: water, isotonic drink, sweets, sugar and salt in sachets.
  • The organizer does not accept competitors' private nutrients for nutritional points

b. Refresh points:

  • They will be located in the vicinity of kilometers 9 and 17
  • On the tables will be placed only water
  • The organizer does not accept competitors' private supplements for refreshment points

c. WC cubicles

  • They will be located on the route behind each refreshment and refreshment point

d. Medical points

  • They will be located on the route at the nutrition points as well as at the start 

IV. TERMS OF PARTICIPATION

1. The organizer sets the following limits:

a. Starters: 5,000 competitors

b. T-shirt package limit: 3500

2. The list will be closed once 5,000 runners have registered. The organizer does not make entries to the reserve list.

3. The limit may change - in the event of changes in the guidelines and regulations regarding the organization of events in relation to the prevention, counteraction and combating of COVID-19.

4. The condition for the start is the entry of the competitor and payment of the entry fee.

5. Competitors of at least 18 years of age as of 17.10.2021 may participate in the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon.

6.Time measurement and ordering will be made by an electronic time measurement system. During verification, each competitor will receive a chip embedded in the starting number, its proper fixing is a condition for starting in the half-marathon and classifying it in the final message of the competition.

7. The condition for classifying a competitor is to run along the approved route of the half-marathon and finish the run within the regulation time of 3 hours.

a. Competitors who, within 90 minutes from crossing the starting line, will not complete half of the route (10 km) are required to stop the race and leave the route.

Whoever stays on the route after this time, is responsible for it, in accordance with the applicable road traffic regulations and the Civil Code.

8. During the run, the participants should follow the instructions of the people responsible for safety, security services and people acting on behalf of the Organizer.

9. In the event of a privileged vehicle appearing on the route, the participants of the run are obliged to stop the run and allow the passage.

10. Runners who run the distance in an illegal manner will be disqualified.

11. The following are forbidden:

a. start without a bib number,

b. start of a competitor who is under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants,

c. use of any vehicles on the route of the half marathon, except for the Organiser's vehicles,

d. start with animals,

e. start with baby carriages, with babies in wraps / carriers,

f. start with Nordic walking poles,

g. covering part of the route by means of transport, e.g. public transport,

h. shortening, changing the route,

i. start in wheelchairs for the disabled,

j. start in headphones.

12. The organizer does not provide participants with accident insurance. It is advisable to insure yourself against accidents on your own.

13. Handing over his starting number to another person will disqualify both competitors.

14. Competitors disqualified in other running events do not have the right to start in the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon until the expiry of the disqualification.

15. Competitors are required to follow the sanitary recommendations indicated by the sanitary services and the Organizer on the start date. Detailed instructions will be posted on the website www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl at a later date.

16. The race cannot be attended by people who on the day of the event:

a. have symptoms of infection, especially of the upper respiratory tract such as runny nose, cough;

b. have a temperature above 37,5C;

c. are in quarantine or isolation. 

V. APPLICATION PROCEDURE AND ENTRY FEE

1. Applications for participation in the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon are accepted:

a. on the website of the race until October 6, 2021 or until the limit of participants is exhausted. Applications can be made via the application form on the website of the race - www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl.

b. at the Competition Office on 15-16 October 2021 if the limit of participants is not exhausted.

2. A properly completed application form and payment of the starting fee are considered valid applications.

3. By submitting the application for the race, the competitor declares that he is aware of the risks that may arise in connection with the start and that his health condition allows him to participate in this race.

4. Verification of competitors, assigning starting numbers and collecting starting numbers and packages will take place at the Competition Office.

5. Verification and collection of the starting package is possible only in person at the Competition Office.

6. The organizer provides team registration. Details on team registration are available on the Organiser's website www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl.

7. Detailed instructions for collecting the starter package and verification will be posted on the website www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl at a later date.

8. The entry fee is as follows:

PLN 70 on or before 31.08.2021 – without T-shirt

PLN 100 on or before 31.08.2021  - with T-shirt

PLN 100 from 1.09.2021 to 06.10.2021 – without T-shirt

PLN 130 from 1.09.2021 to 06.10.2021 – with T-shirt

PLN 200 in cash, within the period 15-16.10.2021 at the Office of the Race if the limit of participants is not reached.

PLN 70 until October 6, 2021 for participants of the Polish Foresters' Championships in the Half Marathon - a package with a T-shirt

a. It is not possible to buy a T-shirt for the "without T-shirt package" at a later date.

b. The PayU system enables the payment of the entry fee in EUR by calculating the entry fee according to the EUR exchange rate on the date of payment.

c. It is not possible to pay in EURO at the Competition Office.

9. Registrations of persons with disabilities due to sight and hearing disabilities.

a. Visually disabled competitors must present a valid document confirming their disability, eg ID card of the Polish Association of the Blind, ID card of the County Family Assistance Center or a decision on awarding the 1st or 2nd group related to visual impairment.

b. due to the fact that on the above-mentioned There is no record in the documents that specifies 100% loss of sight and in order to be allowed to run in category B1, competitors or their guardians starting in this category are required to submit a declaration of 100% loss of sight.

c. Competitors with a hearing loss above 55 dB must present a valid document confirming their hearing disability - ID card of the Polish Deaf Sports Association, audiogram and a certificate of disability.

d. Hearing impaired competitors must present a valid document confirming their hearing disability - ID card of the Polish Deaf Sports Association, audiogram and a certificate of disability.

10. The participants with visual disabilities and hearing disabilities will be verified at the Competition Office on a specially marked stand.

11. Discounts:

a. 50% discount for holders of the Krakow Family Card

12. The following are exempt from the entry fee:

a. people with disabilities,

b. persons invited by the Organizer,

c. guides for people with visual disabilities,

d. volunteers helping with the organization of the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon.

13. The players mentioned in points. V.12 point a-c sign up via the registration form, selecting the appropriate option to be exempt from the entry fee. Volunteers register only at the Competition Office.

14. The entry fee:

a. the payment of the starting fee is possible only via the PayU payment system until October 6, 2021 immediately after registration of participation or at the Competition Office at the rate applicable on the date of payment, if the starting limit is not exhausted.

b. Lack of payment upon registration will result in removal from the start list.

c. Payments made in a different way than specified in the regulations, ie by transfer to the Organiser's account, will not be accepted and will be returned to the account from which they were made.

d. Once the entry fee is paid, it is not refundable, except in the case specified in point V.14 point c of these regulations and when the reason for the return is actions for which the Organizer is responsible.

e. The organizer does not allow the transfer of the fee and the starting package to another competitor.

f. The fee cannot be transferred to the next edition or another event.

g. The date of payment shall be the date of receipt of funds on the Organiser's bank account or the date of payment of the entry fee at the Competition Office.

15. The method of obtaining an invoice for participation in the event is described on the Organiser's website www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl.

VI. CLASSIFICATION

1. The following classifications will be held in the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon:

a. General of Women and Men

b. In the age categories of women and men:

K 18-29 M 18-29

K 30-39 M 30-39

K 40-49 M 40-49

K 50-59 M 50-59

K 60-69 M-60-69

K 70 and older M 70 and older

c. General for players with eyesight disabilities in the category of women and men:

Category B1 - 100% blind people with a guide

Category B2 - visually impaired and partially sighted people using the help of another person (guide) or participating on their own

d. General for players with hearing disabilities in the category of women and men:

people with hearing loss above 55dB,

hearing impaired people.

2. The results of the general classification will be determined on the basis of gross times, while the results of other categories will be based on net times.

3. The organizer reserves the right to create additional classifications.

4. During the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon the following will be held:

a. Polish Championship of Physiotherapists in the Half Marathon.

b. Polish Foresters' Half Marathon Championships.

VII. AWARDS

1. Each competitor who finishes the race within the regular time limit will receive a commemorative medal.

2. Awards in the general classification of women and men:

1st place - PLN 10,000

2nd place - PLN 8,000

3rd place - PLN 6,000

3. In the categories for people with visual disabilities and the title of hearing organs in the general classification of women and men:

1st place - PLN 1,500

2nd place - PLN 1,000

3rd place - PLN 500

4. Prize for the record time in the Cracovia Royal Half Marathon:

a) Men: below 1:01.34  – PLN 3,000 for the first runner

b) Women: below 1:10.48  – PLN 3,000 for the first runner

5. The organizer does not provide awards in age categories.

6. The condition for receiving the prizes is to complete the run, and in the case of doping control - negative result.

7. Cash prizes will be paid to the account provided by the competitor after the Organizer obtains the results of the doping control (if it is carried out) and after receiving all the data necessary to make a bank transfer. Cash prizes obtained in other classifications, referred to in point VI.3, will be paid to the account provided by the competitor in the statement indicating the exact data for the transfer.

8. In the case of cash prizes, the data for the transfer should be provided no later than 30 days from the announcement of the official results. After this date, the prize is forfeited to the Organizer.

9. If the total value of the award exceeds PLN 2,000, income tax will be deducted from the value of the award, in accordance with applicable regulations.

10. The official announcement of the results will take place 14 days after the end of the event.

VIII. ORGANIZER'S BENEFITS

1. Changing rooms and showers

a. Detailed information on the availability, location and opening hours of the changing rooms and showers will be announced on the website www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl at a later time

2. Deposit

a. Detailed information on the location and working hours of the deposit will be announced on the website www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl at a later date

b. Personal belongings of competitors packed in bags provided by the Organizer during verification, marked in a visible place with a sticker with the number, received in the starting package, will be accepted for deposit.

c. The bags will be released from the deposit upon presentation of the bib number.

d. Losing the starting number by a competitor releases the Organizer from liability for collecting the bag by another person.

e. It is forbidden to leave valuable items and documents in the deposit.

f. The organizer is not responsible for participants' belongings left outside the designated deposit and left in the deposit after the end of the designated working hours of the deposit.

g. Items left in the deposit must be picked up on 17/10/2021. The working hours of the deposit will be announced on the website www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl at a later date.

3. Starter package:

a. Each competitor will receive a starter package consisting of:

clothing bag for deposit + sticker for the bag,

information / advertising materials.

b. Competitors allowed to start will also receive their starting numbers and safety pins

c. Starting packages with a T-shirt will also include a limited T-shirt prepared especially for the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon.

d. Starting packets not collected at the Competition Office will not be sent or issued at a later date.

4. T-shirt:

a. The T-shirt is available in the starter package only for competitors who purchase the starter package with a T-shirt.

b. The number of packages with a T-shirt is limited and specified in point IV.1.b;

c. Detailed sizes of T-shirts are presented in the table, which constitutes an appendix to these regulations.

d. T-shirts are issued on the basis of the size indicated in the registration form, without the possibility of changing the declared size during collection, until stocks of a given size are exhausted. If the selected size is not available, the competitor will be offered a different available size.

e. It is not possible to exchange the T-shirt after the end of the event in any case.

5. Starting numbers

a. During the race, competitors must have the starting numbers provided by the Organizer, pinned to the front of the starting T-shirt. Covering the bib number in whole or in part is unacceptable under penalty of disqualification.

b. The starting number is a document assigned to a specific competitor. In the event of loss of the bib number (loss), the competitor assigned to the given number is responsible for the start of another person on this number and it is the same as the situation described in point IV. 13.

c. The organizer does not issue duplicate starting numbers in any case.

d. The competitor is obliged to check if the bib number received by him is the same as the number on the sticker for the deposit.

6. The organizer does not provide accommodation for runners.

IX. FINANCING

Costs of organizing the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon shall be borne by: the Municipality of Krakow, Sponsors and Partners.

X. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

1. Participants in the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon are bound by the regulations of the Polish Athletics Association and these regulations.

2. Based on Art. 38 point 12 of the Act on consumer rights, participants are not entitled to withdraw from the contract for the provision of services related to entertainment, sports or cultural events, if the contract indicates the day or period of service provision.

3. The Organizer reserves the right to conduct doping control during the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon.

4. The organizer informs that on March 20, 2020, by the Regulation of the Minister of Health of March 20, 2020 (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 491, as amended), an epidemic was introduced on the territory of the Republic of Poland in connection with SARS infections - CoV - 2. The above situation results in the introduction of numerous restrictions of a generally applicable nature, aimed at limiting the transmission of the virus. In connection with the above, the Organizer reserves the right to change the following Regulations, in the event of introducing the above-mentioned restrictions and the need to adapt the provisions of the Regulations to them.

5. The organizer reserves the right to cancel or change the date of the 7. Cracovia Royal Half Marathon in the event of:

a. force majeure events that may have an impact on the course of the event.

b. an increase in infections in the territory of the Republic of Poland related to the spread of the Sars-CoV-2 virus, which could pose a threat to the life and health of competitors and people participating in the organization of the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon.

c. introducing generally applicable restrictions (in particular regarding the limits of competitors), which would make it impossible or significantly difficult to conduct the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon.

6. Force majeure, within the meaning of these regulations, are any unforeseeable situations or events, of an exceptional nature, beyond the control of the Organizer, preventing the fulfillment of any of the obligations provided for in these regulations, not resulting from an error or negligence of the Organizer and remaining insurmountable, despite all due diligence. , in particular: natural disasters such as flood, hurricane, extraordinary storms, tornadoes, earthquakes, extremely intense and prolonged rainstorms or extraordinary and external events that could not be prevented (such as: war, restrictions of martial law , uprising, revolution, riots, terrorist attack), epidemic threats, epidemic threats, epidemics and epidemic states, as well as new legal acts or decisions of administrative authorities preventing the Organizer from fulfilling its obligations. Neither the Organizer nor the competitors are responsible for non-performance or improper performance of the provisions of these regulations due to force majeure.

7. The organizer reserves the right to change irrelevant provisions of these Regulations.

8. If significant changes are necessary, the Organizer will notify the Participants / Users about the change in the Regulations via e-mail. The Participant / User who does not accept the introduced significant changes to the Regulations should notify the Organizer within 14 days of receiving information about the change in the Regulations. Sending such a notification results in the removal of the Participant from the race - in such a case, the paid entry fee will be refunded.

9. Written protests regarding the course of the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon and its results are received by the Main Judge of the Competition by 2:00 p.m. on the day of the run. Protests submitted after this date will not be examined.

10. Complaints regarding matters related to the participation and organization of the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon may be submitted in writing to the Organiser's address or by e-mail to the following address: zapisy@zis.krakow.pl no later than 7 days after the end of the event.

11. The organizer reserves the right to change the date and route of the race.

12. Application for participation in the race expressed by sending the application in accordance with point V or submitting it to the Competition Office is tantamount to accepting the rules of the race.

13. The Regulations are available for inspection at the Organiser's office and on the website www.cracoviapolmaraton.pl.
